François Giroud is the restaurant’s manager and sommelier.


Affable and discreet, François Giroud embodies the French hospitality that one finds in palaces. He knows how to put passengers at ease while elevating the richness of the boat’s menu. He anticipates their needs, listens attentively, and gives wine its proper role as an accompaniment that heightens the culinary experience, without which the evening wouldn’t be as memorable.

His career


François Giroud developed an interest in wine as a child, which turned into a passion as he gained experience in the restaurant business.  Alongside sommeliers and head sommeliers, he worked honing his skills before joining the Don Juan II. On board, he has created a meticulous wine list showcasing a multitude of terroirs.
